Catalina Niño grew up in Bogotá, Colombia. She studied in France, where she received her BA and MA in Visual Arts, and later relocated to the Bay Area, where she earned her MFA in Set Design from San Francisco State University. She recently moved to Chicago, where she has been working with different directors and theater companies both local and beyond. Catalina also works as a teaching artist with Snow City Arts, an organization in Chicago that brings art education to children in hospitals.
Apart from working in theater and as a teaching artist, Catalina loves to explore cities and nature. She enjoys keeping her hands busy sewing, painting, and gluing things together. She's also a proud mother of two young boys who keep her busy and constantly learning new things.
