Catalina Niño’s design for “Dear Elizabeth” is nothing short of gorgeous. Though minimal in nature, the emotions certain moments conjure are haunting. John Accrocco, Buzz Center Stage

On the technical side of the production, the set was perfect… Alan Bresloff, Around the Town Chicago

Directed by Christina Casano, “Dear Elizabeth” features Leah Karpal and Christopher Sheard as the poets on a set by Catalina Niño that is equal parts realistic writers’ clutter and an expressionistic journey into their minds. Niño defines two specific areas for the poets on different levels, but she allows for a metaphoric connection in the other parts of the stage, which feature wave-like protrusions of the flooring to suggest the churning Atlantic Ocean… Karen Topham, Chicago on Stage

Catalina Nino’s rustic Scenic Design provides different levels for the actors, along with surprising secret doors, chutes and ladders. Colin Douglas, Chicago Theatre Review
